angel of death

Abed, Diego, and Miles found Rajesh. Rajesh considered staying and letting the collapsing reality take him--"freedom." Abed insisted he come with them. It was touching.
They went back through the portal to the gateway mosque, only to find it in ruins. In the distance, Lizzy was on the ground, Clarke standing over her, defending her from a twisted, demonic, winged creature. Gibril, they soon learned, in Gibril's true form. With a great flaming sword, Gibril struck Clarke, who caught the blade and fell to his knees.
the Glint and Rajesh, el Luchador, and Blink sprang into action--el Luchador attacked Gibril, the Glint and Rajesh pulled Clarke away, Blink rescued Lizzy.
When Blink took Lizzy back through the interdimensional rift, he found Zero Hour, Halftime's crew (which had sided with AEGIS Legal and William Patton), guarding the rift. Blink left Lizzy with them and went back through the rift.
The Glint and Rajesh helped Clarke up the hill toward the rift, as Gibril and el Luchador exchanged blows. Gibril cursed Abed. Blink disarmed Gibril and took his sword. He ran it back through the rift and without looking, threw it across the platform and off the side of the Willis Tower.
What he saw instead was Zero Hour members Stupendo the wizard and Sun Sun dangling Lizzy over the edge of the building, while Halftime, Orb, and Melodia watched. Blink took Lizzy to safety in the AEGIS facility in floors below. When he came back, he seized Halftime and forced him through the rift. He dragged him to Gibril and el Luchador, demanding Halftime do something truly heroic.
Halftime pooped his pants in slow motion.
Then Gibril lept at Abed. El Luchador defended him and secured Gibril in a headlock. Blink jammed a piece of rebar through Gibril's clawed demon foot and brought Orb through the rift.
Orb, a great glowing, floating blue ball, who silhouetted The Glint, Rajesh, and Clarke. Running toward the rift, Halftime yelled to Orb, "Do it!" And Orb blasted Rajesh with lightning.
Rajesh was thrown some distance. The Glint went to him: he was quivering with electricity, body all out of sync, heart in arrhythmia. The Glint used his powers to stabilize him, as Orb bright blue color returned.
Gibril ripped his foot away from the rebar. Then pulled the rebar out of the ground and threw it at running Halftime. Blink protected him.
Orb blasted Clarke with lightning, and the Glint tried to stabilize him but failed. Gibril set upon the Glint, raging and swinging wildly, as he monologued. He said:
Evil Abed served a greater power. He was merely the tip of the spear, conquering Earths for his Master. Gibril was once the tip of the Master's spear. His invasion of the heroes' Earth was repulsed by the Exemplars of that time, but not before Gibril tore open the rift and unleashed a temporary hell on Chicago. As he failed, he was bound to this place, and good Abed's refusal to join evil Abed meant Gibril would remain bound to this place.
With that, Gibril landed a powerful blow on the Glint. But el Luchador interposed himself, shouting for the rest to leave. They did, as el Luchador took a powerful blow but struggled through the pain to hold Gibril back.
When the rest were safely through the rift, el Luchador threw Gibril back and went through too, as Gibril's rage-filled howl echoed across the dimensions.
